Thank you for donating your mineral eye shadows for the American Cancer Society’s San Mateo County Gala, Concours d’Esperance held on August 20, 2011. Your contribution to our inaugural gala helped us to raise over $56,000 in San Mateo County (we exceeded our goal by $11K!). Together, we made an important step in our journey to create more birthdays for cancer survivors.
It has been our great honor to serve as Volunteer Event Chair and the staff lead for this gala and to work toward preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing the suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and patient services. The American Cancer Society’s campaign, “Celebrate More Birthdays”, really captures the essence of the work we are doing to eliminate cancer. The campaign challenges us not just to work tirelessly for a cure, but to fund advances in research that enable survivors to live longer and to celebrate more birthdays. Over 11 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday this year. We ARE making progress. Thank you again for supporting this important event and we hope to partner with you at the third annual San Mateo County Gala! With Warm Regards,
